Silole Sanctuary is private land adjoining the Nairobi National Park, a rich landscape of rolling plains situated between the deep gorges of the Embakasi & Kiserian rivers. The Sanctuary is an ideal location to get away from the city without travelling distances & sacrificing time & expense.

Silole Cottage
Perhaps the ultimate Nairobi get-away, Silole Cottage is an idyllic 2 bedroom cottage with wonderful views over the rolling plains of the Nairobi National Park.
In the middle of the Silole Sanctuary, with good security, hot water and a solar system backed up by a generator, Silole Cottage is all you need for an inexpensive weekend away from the city routine.
The cottage has loft spaces ideal for children above the two en-suite bedrooms & a cosy verandah overlooking the park.
Drive yourself here, just an hour from the city and you have the Nairobi National Park on your doorstep, the Masai Gate being just 5 minute drive away. Dikdik and warthog can be seen on the lawn & giraffes & eland (not to mention big cats) visit at night.

*The Masai Gate of the park is just 5 minutes drive away, ideal for early morning & late evening game-drives.
How to get here: The best way to get to the Sanctuary is through the Masai Gate (south end of the Park; follow the signs). Otherwise drive down the Magadi Road from Bomas of Kenya on the Langata road & turn first left off the tarmac (signboarded to Nazarene University & Masai Lodge). Then just keep going to the end of the murram road (6 km) until you reach Masai Lodge.
The turn off to Silole Villa & Silole Cottage is on the right immediately before the Masai Lodge Gate.
