Ol Pejeta Conservancy

The Ol Pejeta Conservancy is a 360 km² not-for-profit wildlife conservancy in Central Kenya's Laikipia County. It is situated on the equator west of Nanyuki, between the foothills of the Aberdares and Mount Kenya

Wildlife; Africa’s most iconic species hunt, graze, breed and fight for survival on the plains of Ol Pejeta every day, in an ecosystem that has the highest densities of wildlife in Kenya outside of the Maasai Mara. This includes

  • Rhinos: Black Rhinos, Northern white rhinos, Southern white rhinos
  • Chimpanzees: Sweetwaters Chimpanzee Sanctuary, Advocacy, Learn and Meet the Chimpanzees
  • Wildlife and habitats: Predators, Endangered species, Elephants, Habitats

Conservation: Conservation is a dynamic and rapidly changing scene. Ol Pejeta partners with international wildlife, security and research specialists to ensure we stay at the forefront of conservation innovation. These partnerships have led to unique data findings and cutting-edge technology; that have contributed to the protection of Ol Pejeta’s diverse species.

  • Conservation Education: Ol Pejeta learning, Innovation, Camera trap and Innovation – Mount Kenya Wildlife Estate
  • Wildlife protection: Rangers / KPR Dogs, Technology and Understanding Fencing

Ol Pejeta Escapes: We also have plenty of amazing places to stay during your visit. Economy travellers and luxury seekers alike will find something to suit their wants and needs. We’ve also got several beautiful campsites for those of you who prefer your accommodation a little more al fresco.
